Self-paced video and written lessons

Every concept explained two ways — for visual learners and readers alike.

Meet the Instructor

Built by someone who's actually done the work.

I'm Terry Mullins. I've spent ten years driving — as an owner-operator and as a company driver — and another ten recruiting and dispatching the drivers behind me. Before all that, I spent twenty years building software systems and running technical operations.

That mix is the reason ELDT.Courses exists. Most CDL training is built by either drivers who can't build a learning platform, or tech companies who've never been in the seat. I've done both jobs — and I got tired of watching new drivers get handed recycled DMV handbook text and called "trained."

So I built something better. One course at a time.

Credentials
  • 10 years driving OTR — owner-operator and company driver
  • 10 years as a CDL instructor with a CDL Training Manager Certificate (PA)
  • 4 years as a Driver's Education instructor in Medina, Ohio — teaching teens and adults overcoming a fear of driving
  • 10 years recruiting and dispatching commercial drivers
  • Author of Mastering Split Logging: A Trucker's Guide — with more books on the way
  • Founder of ELDT.Courses — FMCSA-approved provider, Federal Training Provider Registry
  • Hundreds of students trained — in person and online
Why ELDT.Courses

Different by design.

01

Built by a working trucker, not a tech company

Most CDL platforms are built by software people who've never been in the seat. Terry spent ten years driving and ten more recruiting and dispatching the drivers behind him. The training reflects what actually happens on the road.

02

Practical, not just compliant

FMCSA requires the bare minimum. We start there — and then explain why every rule exists, what real consequences look like, and how to actually pass the test the first time. No padding. No filler.

03

One instructor across every course

When you take Hazmat from us, then come back for Tank, you're learning from the same voice with the same standards. No swapped-out contractors. No course-to-course quality drop. One author. One bar.

Your Move

Pass faster. Drive safer. Get to work.

Three FMCSA-approved courses are open for enrollment right now — Hazmat, Tank, and Dispatch with Confidence. Nine more on the way. Pick what's next for your career.
